Description
Dame May Whitty (1865-1948) narrates this
sweet story about a little boy who decides he is going to find out what the prettiest song in the world is. Born
in Liverpool, Mary Louise Whitty was an Oscar-nominated English theatre and cinema actress.
This recording and Rapunzel (see Week 39 in 2006) were both made shortly before
she passed away. The Sportsmen are credited as the vocalists.
