Description
Fanny
Brice (1891-1951) was the stage name of Fania Borache, a
Jewish comedienne who began headlining with the Ziegfeld
Follies in 1910. The character of Baby Snooks, a
mischievous brat she had first played in vaudeville in
1912, was featured on radio from 1936 until her
death. Barbara Streisand starred as Brice in the 1964 Broadway
musical, Funny Girl, which made her an overnight
sensation.
